What does racism have to do with me? Asian American kids get talking
In this video, educator Katie Yue-Sum Li adapts A Kids Book About Racism by Jelani Memory to reflect her experience as an Asian American children, and breaks down racism and identity in a way that is accessible for kids. Motivated by the rise in anti-Asian racism and a desire to help kids make sense of their identities, Katie created an accessible, affirming tool for children and their caregivers.
