James Wallert is an actor and director. He is the co-founder and co-director of the Epic Theater Ensemble. Epic’s artists challenge the institutional status quo by making theatre radically accessible, engaging thousands of students and first-time audiences in the transformative process of telling their own stories and learning to deeply empathize with those of others. James is the author of the forthcoming book Citizen Artists: a Guide to Helping Young People Make Plays that Change the World.
