Liz Hart-Walker

Liz Hart-Walker (she/her) is a White woman raised by two social workers in a small farming community. She is deeply passionate about elevating global majority voices in parenting, social service, and education spaces. Liz has worked in the field of public education for 15 years in both Chicago and Michigan. She currently serves as an early intervention mental health professional, where she has the honor to partner with families as they address everything from attachment to advocacy. Prior to her current role, she has served as a special education teacher, a behavior interventionist, a consultant, and a school social worker. Liz believes that public schools are the heart of communities and serves on multiple school and early childhood center boards in her community. Liz and her husband are raising their two transcultural daughters in a household that features a lot of dancing, singing, reading, and dreaming. Also in her spare time, Liz facilitates Foundations courses and Communities of Learning and Practice for caregivers at EmbraceRace.
