Maanav’s life work is devoted to facilitating learning spaces for individual and collective transformation. He has worked as an organizer, educator, coach, consultant and program director in group homes, public schools, community organizations, social enterprises, public agencies, and national youth organizations. He has been blessed to have consistently been at “the right place at the right time” to participate in truly effective social change work.

Prior to joining IISC, Maanav led the implementation of the Racial Justice and Health Equity Professional Development Series at the Boston Public Health Commission – a core component of a groundbreaking organizational change process that is changing the way the City of Boston approaches public health. While there, Maanav led a team of facilitators that trained over 1,100 city employees to view their work through a racial justice and health equity lens. Earlier in his career Maanav led a nation-wide learning community of mentoring practitioners at YouthBuild USA.

Maanav has lived in all corners of the country and believes that there is no true social change without internal transformation and healing. Maanav is also a deejay, multi-instrumentalist, holistic-foods chef, and father to two beautiful children.
